When we start out in business we are told we should do a business plan, set up a website and some products and begin our business. However is this really what will move us forward or do it does it set us up for failure? The great debate continues…. What we do know is that having a vision of your company, living with intention, and taking concrete steps with some out of the box thinking is what gives you the momentum toward success.

If you have the passion, and the drive to make things happen along with the intention and the balance to do it, all is possible. There is a shift out in the world and those that embrace it will be successful not only in business but in creating what will lead us to a new generation of “being”. Here are 5 quick steps to help you create the path to your vision.

1. We have choices, take action to move forward.

2. We must have Patience, control your limited beliefs.

3. Never Give Up, persistence is key.

4. Be a problem solver with “out of the box thinking”.

5. Have a purpose and a passion for what you are doing.

When we have more reasons to climb that mountain to see the beautiful view from the other side, the fun of the exploration, and the confidence it will bring, that is when our desire outweighs the loss of a bit of comfort. Take the chance on yourself and achieve what you were meant to do by following your passion.

We spoke about confidence and what he finds with people in business and how he helps people to understand where to begin the process of looking for those things that limit them. Philip talked about making change and why it can sometimes be difficult for people to do so.

Philip is also a real estate investor who has invested in 6 countries around the globe. He has a new book coming out this year on real estate called South of 49… A story about residential real estate investing across the border.

Confidence is an important part in the new book The Power of Women United which I co-wrote with 21 other wonderful, professional ladies. Within the pages confidence comes up often as something everyone wants and for some due to experiences in life, or in childhood, gain it much earlier than most. The many stories in this book can relate to every woman out there whether she is in business or not. It is a tribute to the lessons learned and the ability for everyone to reach their goals.

One of the many comments that Philip made today that made us think was “some people are achieving goals they set out in the wrong direction and they are running towards it!” It really is the truth, taking time to “be still” as I call it and quieting the mind is the only real time we can look back and assess what we really want and if we are on the right path. We walk through life so often with such a weight on our shoulders and many times it is a weight we place on ourselves of fear, shame, feeling like we are alone… when in fact this is not the case. I loved the story today because despite the debilitating disease he is triumphing.

In the realm of dispair there is always hope, caring, love, support you just have to be open to it.

I have a friend who for the second time has fought cancer and I couldn’t be more proud of her! Hearing it was completely gone was very surreal for me having lost a good friend already once. A blessing indeed… What saved her was her outlook on life and a determination to succeed in educating herself to eat and live healthy, and take care of her health on her terms and to always search for answers. I too have faced such a fight in my life for 26 years quietly battling Endometriosis and finally free! Why do I share this after all this time? It was once said that in adversity lies opportunity. I believe that once a person goes through the fires it changes you. For myself, like my friend and similar to Montel, I to this day say that it was the greatest gift as a learning and a wake up of what life is really about. I changed that last day of the old self 10 years ago. It is how we handle that adversity that tells the story, it is in that pain that you can really feel the inspirational support of what it truly feels like to be alive. What a wonderful gift of learning life can be about if we have our eyes wide open and willing to listen.  Mahatma Gandhi once said “The future depends on what we do in the present” So remember to celebrate life NOW and Live a Life on Fire!
