We are here for you, and you are not alone.

Look at successful people what do they have in common? Every success comes down to confidence. They have confidence in who they are and what they do. Developing your confidence really are the keys to achieving anything you want. So how do we gain the confidence to achieve success and maintain a balance to our lives all at the same time?

Acquiring Confidence is about making choices and it comes down to 4 things:

1. Understanding your Brilliance.

Understanding your “Brilliance” and what you are passionate about will allow you to apply more of what you enjoy doing into your work and will help build your confidence. I talk more about this in my ebook “Discover your Brilliance.” Knowing what you want and then having a plan to get there will help you fulfill your passion and inevitably lead to your success.

2. Choosing to be Happy. Savour the simple things.

Happiness is a choice. Learning how to stay happy on the inside while going through a difficult time takes will and determination but it is possible. You may not enjoy the negative situation but if you choose happiness and peace, it will guide you through the process with more skill and ease. Happiness is what you choose to feel not matter what knocks you off course, and gives you the determination to get right back on again.

3. Gratitude. Being thankful for what life gives you.

Being grateful for every opportunity, every relationship, every friendship will in the end help to increase your happiness and that will spill over and come across in how you feel about yourself. Your confidence will show and people will gravitate towards you. Being grateful shows the universe, spirit, and God, that we really care about the world and are appreciative of our lives. It is a choice to be grateful.

Getting proper exercise and eating healthy truly reduces stress on our body.
Having realistic views of what makes us happy, what your true strengths are and to learn how you can contribute in a positive way, will help bring you to see the world differently. An example of this can be found in the old cartoon of Charlie Brown.

I read an article once about this by Gary Woltal who is a realtor in Dallas Ft. Worth. His story goes like this. Attachment to an idea has to do with the expectation of what he calls The Lucy -Charlie Brown Effect. The one where Charlie Brown continuously attaches to the fact that he “thinks” Lucy will hold the football and that he will kick it. However as Gary points out, and as we saw repeatedly, Lucy in fact did NOT let Charlie Brown kick the ball.

Now, you can get from this that Lucy (in her defense) at least made a solid decision and stuck to it. Or you could say that Charlie Brown has an unrealistic grip on what he was attached to which was his “expectation” that the ball would be held in place so that he could kick it. Regardless of why Charlie Brown had that expectation and if it was truth or not, the end result was that Charlie Brown was unhappy after he missed the ball. What caused his unhappiness? The death grip he had on that expectation.

So the lesson? To be truly happy with life by being a bit detached from our expectations. Being in the present and having fun with it and “let it roll” as Louise Hay says. Understand what makes you happy but be willing to adjust to your environment positively. Know what your strengths are, and believe that no matter what is happening in the world markets that there is TRUE change happening in the world and be open to that, because there are many miracles happening out there.

Now is the time to re-evaluate how you are running your businesses, what steps you are taking during this time of change. Keep taking those “Baby Steps” towards your goal and success. Work with people who motivate you to move forward and take action! (This is by the way another benefit Charlie Brown got from Lucy- MOTIVATION!) The other message of Charlie Brown and what kept him going was that he believed that he could kick the ball and that in the end was better than not trying at all.
